So we posted Bovy’s performance at the SLAMM 6 event against Mosab Amrani and that fight turned out to be a huge upset as most people expected Bovy to walk right through Mosab. It’s due to performances like this one (in the video above) that fans had such high expectations for Bovy. It seems as though Bovy only works in 1 direction .. and that’s forward. He’s has a fighting style similar to Yodsanklai (although Bovy is much less illusive and takes more shots) as he takes the center of the ring and pushes the pace on his opponents. In this fight, he impliments the aggressive style that he’s known for and ends up ending the fight by delivering an elbow strike that ends up cutting Belani’s head and ends up giving him a TKO victory.

Here is a sick Remy Bonjasky highlight video. Remy Bonjasky is a K-1 fighting sensation who has been in there with (and beat) a “best of” list of fighters including the likes of Melvin Manhoef, Alistair Overeem, Badr Hari and Ernesto Hoost. As his 3 K-1 World Grand Prix championship titles would indicate, Remy Bonjasky is one of the premier stand up fighters in the world today. A few days ago, we posted a video entitled “defeat” that showed Bovy preparing for his fight right up until his devistating knockout loss and him sitting alone in his dressing room after it was all over. Well, here is the full Bovy Sor Udomson vs Mosab Amrani fight from the SLAMM 6 event As you can tell from the reaction of the crowd and the announcers, this was a huge upset and a surprise for many of the spectators. It was fitting though as Mosab Amrani had defeated Anuwat Kaewsamrit at a previous SLAMM event and with the string of victories, he was finally getting the respect that he deserved.

Souwer vs Petrosyan

Here is the final fight of the 2009 K-1 World Max tournament. Andy Souwer advanced by beating Buakaw Por Pramuk and to this day, many fans feel as though Buakaw won that fight and that the judges screwed him over. Giorgio Petrosyan fights like a cyborg and in this fight, he picked Andy Souwer apart for the duration of the fight (he even dropped him with a knee) in route to becoming the tournament champion. It seemed as though Souwer didn’t have any answer for the onslaught on punches, kicks and knees that Petrosyan threw at him. Perhaps Buakaw Por Pramuk could have given Petrosyan a tougher challenge as they fought to a draw before but hopefully that’s a fight we’ll get to see sometime in the future. Anyway, enjoy the fight..

Buakaw vs Souwer

Here is the full length Buakaw Por Pramuk vs Andy Souwer fight from the 2009 K-1 World Max tournament. This was the semi final with the winner (in this case, Andy Souwer) going on to fight Giorgio Petrosyan in the final. There was a lot of contraversy surrounding this fight as most people felt that Buakaw Por Pramuk should have won and advanced. Had the judges awarded him a decision, then he would have gotten a rematch with Petrosyan and seeing as how their last fight went to a draw, it would have been a close fight and likely a more competitive one than Souwer vs Petrosyan turned out to be.

MUST SEE: A well deserved beating.

This video was filmed at Loy Kroh in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Loy Kroh is actually the “red light” district in Chiang Mai (if you can even considered it that) and in the center of it all, they have a boxing ring set up and they have fight nights there. Check out the sign in the background for the “ladyboy bar” .. ahh .. only in Thailand .. haha. Anyway, this isn’t your usual fight as the foreigner is fighting as if he’s high on Yaba or something. He shows a complete disregard for the rules of the sport and continually tries to attack his much smaller Thai opponent while he’s on the ground. Of course, this prompts a severe bare-knuckle beatdown from the onlooking Thai spectators. Check it out and pass the link around.. this video just needs to be seen..

Here is a Muay Thai fight that took place at the infamous Lumpinee stadium. Lumpinee stadium, for those who don’t know, is the pennicle if Muay Thai and Thai’s start training at the age of 6 years old with the hope of someday moving to Bangkok and fighting here. When you’ve made it to Lumpinee stadium, you’ve officially “made it”. Anyway, this particular fight is between Namsaknoi and a fighter named Baipet. Namsaknoi is a legend of the sport. He’s been the champion at Lumpinee in 3 different weight classes and he’s won the prestegious “fighter of the year” award twice in Thailand. In this video, you get to see why ..

So in the comment section of this video, the original poster said that the Thai guy was Neuropol Fairtex but I personally don’t think that it is. He looks a little different. Regardless, this is an amazing fight (you can tell by the crowds reaction/involvement) and the Thai throws an absolutely vicious Muay Thai elbow strike that ends opens up a huge cash on the “farangs” head. Apparently he had to get 48 stitches after the fight. He’s just lucky that the second elbow strike that the Thai threw just barely missed as that one looked even hard and had it landed, it would have likely been a bloodbath for the foreigner. Anyway, enjoy the video..

This has got to be one of the craziest Muay Thai knockout videos that I’ve ever seen. You just have to love the song selection too. The old “Mortal Kombat” theme song; it sure brings back memories. The best knockout of the video (in my opinion), comes at the 0:48 mark. Just watch it and see, it doesn’t really need to be explained. Although, while I know that you’re allowed you knee your opponent after a throw, I’m not sure if a kick to the face while your opponent is face down on the canvas is allowed in Muay Thai competition but retardless, the fighter in the red shorts was celebrating like he legitimately won so maybe it is. Anyway, this video is full of incredible Muay Thai knockouts and the music is sick .. so, this is a video you’ll likely want to watch more than once. Enjoy..

Bare Knuckle Knockout

I’m sure you’ve heard of the bare knuckle Thai boxing matches that used to take place in Thailand and I’m sure that you’ve also heard that such fights STILL take place across the border in Burma. Well, this is one of them. It’s actually extremely brutal so viewer discretion advised. The first fighter in the red shorts recognized that fact that he was outmatched and called the fight off. Then another challenger – who’s heart was much more impressive than his fighting ability – hopped over the ropes to take on the Burmese boxer in the blue. I’m guessing the guy in the red had been sipping on some samgsom prior to jumping in because what he lacked in fighting ability, he must have made up for with liquid courage. Anyway, he ends up taking a brutal kick to the face and gets carried out of the ring.
