In my opinion, this is one of the best Muay Thai highlight videos out there. When I’m back in Canada, missing the training and just missing Thailand in general, I would find myself watching this video over and over to get myself psyched up about coming back. I’m pretty sure that I used to always reach for a laptop when I was a few beers deep into the evening and search for it in youtube to show my friends.
The video features 2 of the best Muay Thai fighters in the world; Buakaw Por Pramuk and Saenchai Sor Kingstar. Buakaw trains out of the Por Pramuk gym a couple hours from Bangkok and Saenchai Sor Kingstar trains at the 13 coins gym near the Bangkok international airport. But that’s besides the point. The point of the video is to showcase the dominance and flawless technique of these two fighters.
My favorite part of the video is when Saenchai (who has won 3 lumpinee titles in 3 different weight classes) is shown absolutely embarassing his over-matched – particularily at the 2:47 mark when he hits him with a flying switch kick and then follows it up with an amazing sweep. Buakaw pulls off a nice sweep of his own right before that as well. And to top it off, the song is sick (even Buakaw is feelin’ it when he’s dancing with the hot Japanese ring girl at the 0:35 mark). Enjoy the video, I know I have.
